Introduction
Friends, today we are going to talk about our new 2025 Maruti Suzuki Dzire.
It has completed 5000 km, and in these past 5000 km, we have driven this car in Delhi, used it in the city, driven it on highways, and also taken it to the mountains.
So, whatever our overall experience has been in these 5000 km, I will share it with you through this blog.
Along with that, I will also tell you who this car is best suited for, who should avoid it, what problems I faced in these 5000 km, and what is the best thing about this car. So, let’s start today’s blog.
Exterior Design & Looks
So friends, first of all, let’s talk about its looks. The looks of this car are quite subjective, but overall, the car looks very good.
The projector lamps in the Maruti Suzuki Dzire look really nice and enhance the overall appearance of the car.
And this is the first time that both the Swift and Maruti Suzuki Dzire are completely different.
Earlier, the Dzire used to be considered just an extended version of the Swift, but this time both the cars are entirely different from each other.
However, the engine remains the same in both cars.
This car comes with a 1.2L three-cylinder engine. Earlier, the Dzire used to come with a four-cylinder engine, but now Maruti Suzuki has reduced one cylinder, and this car now features a three-cylinder engine.
So, after moving from a four-cylinder to a three-cylinder engine, has there been any difference in the power and performance of the Dzire?
We will answer all these questions in this blog based on our personal experience. Along with that, we will also discuss its advantages and disadvantages.
One more thing I would like to tell you is that before this new Maruti Suzuki Dzire, we also had the older Dzire which came with a four-cylinder engine.
So after driving that car, we are now using this new Maruti Suzuki Dzire. Because of that, I will also be able to explain to you what differences we have noticed between the two.
Engine Performance (Real Experience)
Now let’s talk about the engine and performance of the new Maruti Suzuki Dzire.
This car comes with a 1.2-liter three-cylinder engine, and for city driving, this engine feels quite easy and comfortable.
If you plan to use this car in the city, then compared to the older Dzire, the power is lower on paper, but how does it feel in real life?
Let me tell you—if you are driving smoothly in the city or cruising comfortably on the highway, you won’t notice any difference, and the car will not feel underpowered at all.
However, if you try to overtake or drive aggressively, then at that time you may feel that the car is slightly low on power.
You will notice this mainly during overtaking, where it may feel like the engine has a bit less power.
Maruti Suzuki designs its cars with a focus on mileage. Their main aim is to extract maximum fuel efficiency. That’s why in the new Maruti Suzuki Dzire, one cylinder has been reduced.
Now let’s talk about safety and comfort.
First, talking about safety, this new Maruti Suzuki Dzire is quite different from the previous versions because earlier no Dzire came with a 5-star safety rating, but this new Dzire comes with a 5-star rating.
Also, it offers 6 airbags right from the base model.
Ride Quality & Mileage (Real World Data)
Talking about comfort, based on my experience of traveling in the new Maruti Suzuki Dzire—including trips to the mountains and tours—the comfort level of this car has been quite good.
The suspension has improved significantly compared to before.
Sitting inside the car feels very comfortable, and it easily handles small bumps and potholes on the road.
My height is 5 feet 6 inches, and according to that, the under-thigh support in this car is decent.
The legroom is good, and the headroom is also quite spacious. The seats are basic but very comfortable, and even the base model offers well-cushioned seats.
Now let’s talk about the mileage of the new Maruti Suzuki Dzire.
This car is often called a “mileage king” because the purpose of the three-cylinder engine is to improve fuel efficiency.
We went on a trip with the entire family, and the car tank was fully loaded.
On the highway, we got a mileage of 26 km/l, and in the city (Delhi), it delivers around 17 km/l.
Driving Experience
Now let’s talk about the driving experience of the new Maruti Suzuki Dzire. The clutch pedal is very soft, and the gear shifting is quite smooth.
Even after driving in traffic for long periods, you don’t feel tired. The steering is also very smooth, which makes city driving quite easy.
This is the base model, and even in the base model, you get many features such as a rear defogger, shark fin antenna, 6 airbags, hill hold, ABS, traction control, and 4 power windows as standard.
The interior of this car has also improved a lot compared to before. It now comes with a dual-tone interior, and the instrument cluster shows mileage, range, and real-time information.
The AC performance is also quite good. However, the company-fitted music system and speakers are not that great, so we got aftermarket ones installed.
Talking about the three-cylinder engine, the difference in power is not very noticeable unless you drive aggressively.
The engine is quite refined, especially smoother than the three-cylinder engines from Tata and Volkswagen. However, at startup or at low speeds, you may feel slight vibrations inside the car.
Negative Point In New 2025 Maruti Suzuki Dzire
Now let’s talk about the drawbacks of this car that we noticed over the past 5000 km.
The biggest drawback is the power, which feels a bit low.
Also, if you drive the car above 100 km/h, the engine noise becomes more noticeable.
Who Should Buy New 2025 Maruti Suzuki Dzire
If we talk about who should buy this car, the new Maruti Suzuki Dzire 2025 is a great option for those who mainly drive in the city and want a smooth, comfortable, and easy-to-drive car for daily use.
It is especially suitable for people who prioritize mileage and want a fuel-efficient car that can save money in the long run.
Family buyers who are looking for a spacious and comfortable sedan for daily travel as well as occasional long trips will also find this car very practical.
Additionally, first-time car buyers who want a reliable, low-maintenance, and hassle-free ownership experience can confidently consider this car, as it is simple to drive and easy to maintain.
Who Should Avoid New 2025 Maruti Suzuki Dzire
On the other hand, this car may not be the best choice for those who are looking for strong performance or a sporty driving experience.
If you enjoy aggressive driving or want quick acceleration and high power, this car might feel underpowered, especially during overtaking or at higher speeds.
People who frequently drive on highways at speeds above 100 km/h may also notice increased engine noise, which can be a drawback.
Moreover, if you expect a very premium interior feel or advanced high-end features, you might want to explore other options in the market.
Overall, this car is ideal for practical users but not for driving enthusiasts who seek performance and excitement.
Conclusion
So friends, if I summarize my overall 5000 km experience in one line, the new Dzire 2025 is a car that offers a perfect balance of practicality, mileage, and comfort.
Whether it’s daily city driving, long highway trips, or journeys to the mountains—this car has delivered a stable and reliable performance in every situation.
The best part is that it offers a tension-free ownership experience, with low maintenance, strong mileage, and a very smooth driving experience.
That said, if you are looking for a car that delivers aggressive performance or a sporty driving feel, then this car might not excite you as much.
At higher speeds, you may notice more engine noise, and during overtaking, you might feel a slight lack of power, which could be a drawback for some people.
However, if your main focus is fuel efficiency, comfort, and long-term reliability, these compromises can be easily ignored.
In my opinion, this car is best suited for those who want a family-friendly sedan that is economical for daily use and does not require much effort to drive or maintain.
It can also be a safe and practical choice for first-time car buyers.
In the end, I would just like to say that before buying any car, it is very important to clearly understand your needs and priorities.
If you are looking for a no-nonsense, reliable, and mileage-oriented car, then the Dzire 2025 is definitely worth considering.
